    The Philosophy Department Celebrates MLK Day

    Though Dr. King is perhaps best known for his work on civil rights for African Americans, he also studied philosophy and was deeply moved by various philosophical lines of thinking. The Philosophy Department celebrates MLK day, including the ways that Dr. King was able to make philosophical ideas relevant to the public good.

    Kohei Kishida is a logician and applied category theorist. He identifies and extracts logical structures to help scientists and philosophers tackle foundational and philosophical issues that arise in various sciences, including mathematics, theoretical computer science, quantum computing, and physics.
